Exploring Teaching and Working with Children #CT401

This course is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of education or working with children through other career pathways. Students become familiar with the roles and responsibilities of teachers as well as the environment of public schools. Emphasis will be placed on the standards for teacher training and the importance of teacher preparation with special attention to current trends in the field of education. Students will begin to develop resume writing skills and create a professional portfolio that can be used for interview purposes. Students will also be introduced to the Action Research model to develop analyzing skills.
